From 10 to 14 May 2026, ForMix, Mulmix’s orange ant, took centre stage in an exhibition at the Black Light Gallery in Padua.
Twelve panels told a year of stories and offered a different way of communicating the world of engineering, turning technical topics, products and company values into the immediate language of comics.
Why an ant?
The choice of ForMix is not accidental. The ant represents several elements that are deeply connected to the way Mulmix works: organisation, precision, collaboration and the ability to build over time.
From this idea came a character capable of guiding the audience through a complex sector, using images, dialogue and situations to make technical communication more direct and recognisable.
Over the year, ForMix has explored a wide range of topics: from plant safety to Mx TopSecure and GatePro, from MOCA certification to predictive maintenance, through to customised solutions and traceability in the agri-food supply chain.
From the company to the gallery
Bringing ForMix into an art gallery meant taking the project one step further.
The comic strips, originally created as a Mulmix communication project, moved beyond the company’s usual channels and became the twelve panels of an exhibition. An unusual setting for talking about plants, safety and technology, but one that was fully consistent with the idea behind ForMix: finding new languages to tell the story of industry.
The exhibition brought together engineering, illustration and storytelling, showing how even a B2B company can communicate its identity by moving beyond the most traditional forms of technical communication.
This is how ForMix was born: from an ant, a comic strip and the desire to look at our world from a different point of view.
